LEGO® Overwatch 75973 D.Va & Reinhardt is one of the smaller sets in the Overwatch theme. It features the two tank heroes D.Va & Reinhardt with an Overwatch minifigure character for each. The set has 455 parts and has been available since Jan 19 priced at £34.99 / $39.99 / 39.99€. Lets take a look at those elements. BlizzCon, celebrating all of the games coming out of Blizzard Entertainment, starts tomorrow at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. Of course, Overwatch is being represented there, and LEGO has officially revealed a sculpture of D.Va, aka Hana Song - a former pro-gamer from South Korea - as well as her mech suit MEKA! It will be on display on the floor, "protecting" attendees from potential omnic threats. The model appears to be based on the MEKA and minifigure featured in 75973 D.Va & Reinhardt, and consists of 145,276 pieces weighing 1256 pounds. We highly anticipate more from LEGO Overwatch being shown this weekend, coming after the accidental Target reveal last week. Additionally, 75987 Omnic Bastion will be sold (in limited quantities, surely). We will keep you updated on anything else that happens. LEGO products already encompass an excellent selection of licensed themes but the unveiling of LEGO Overwatch was still rather surprising. Video games have inspired relatively few sets in the past and Overwatch is driven by multiplayer gameplay instead of a conventional story mode which is particularly unusual for a LEGO theme. Nevertheless, I like Overwatch's visual style and this theme offers a great deal of potential in my opinion. 75987 Omnic Bastion was the first set to be revealed and is exclusively available on the Blizzard website, costing £22.50 or $25.00, although it is currently out of stock. The upcoming Overwatch sets have now been unveiled, confirming that twelve different characters will feature in the first wave. Many more heroes therefore have yet to appear in minifigure form, including some of the most popular members of both Overwatch and the evil Talon.
