[RSS]: Designer insight: Mark Stafford

Many LEGO set designers use our BrickLists feature to maintain a list of the sets they've worked on and often provide interesting insights about their involvement.

Once a week we publish an entry from one of their lists on the home page to increase awareness of this information and to encourage more designers to create them.

Mark Stafford wrote this about their work on 70135 Cragger's Fire Striker:

Sketch model and final Designer was Junya Suzuki - a Japanese Designer recently transferred from our Tokyo concept lab. So why is it the list of sets I designed? Well two weeks before the final model committee Junya had his first child and went on paternity leave, meaning I had to take over. I redesigned about 30% of the model as it was still far too complex for our target age range (or me), this is not unusual in the final run up and I'm sure Junya would have solved the problems himself if he hadn't had a different kind of MOC for he and his wife to take care of!
