The biggest and one of the best LEGO fan events in Europe takes place in Skærbæk on the west coast of Denmark next weekend.

Around 1,200 AFOLs from all over the world descend on the small town, some 80Km from Billund, for a long weekend of displaying, seminars, presentations, workshops, games, shopping, trading and of course socialising.

The weekend kicks off on Thursday at The LEGO House in Billund at which there'll be a special event for AFOLs. During the day there will be presentations from designers and several on hand to sign boxes.

It will be the 7th year that I have attended, and I'm very much looking forward to meeting old friends and making new ones. In particular, it's always good to see our US correspondent MeganL there: it's usually the only time we get to meet up.
