The craft is an updated version of 6894 Invader from the eternally popular Blacktron space subtheme that was released over 35 years ago. Unlike that one which was suitable for kids age 7-12, this one has an 18+ rating. LEGO's main photo of the set, right, doesn't really do it justice other than to show that it's modular like the original, so I've placed photos of the box and the 1987 version after the break.
